Meet our Doulas

Welcome to Our Doula Collaborative
We’re a group of local, independent birth doulas who came together to solve one of the biggest challenges in birth work: making sure every family gets reliable, top-tier care without their doula running on empty. When you hire one of us, you get a primary doula you love, backed by a tight-knit team you can trust.
How Our Partnership Supports You Guaranteed, Rock-Solid Care: Birth has its own timeline. If your doula is at another birth or comes down with something, you won't have to scramble or worry—a qualified backup is already in place.
No Strangers at Your Birth: You’ll meet your assigned backup during one of your prenatal visits (in person or over Zoom around 35–36 weeks). That way, if plans shift, the person walking through your door is already a familiar face.
Tag-Team Support for Long Labors: If your labor stretches past 18–20 hours, your doula can call in backup for a fresh set of hands. You get energized, sharp support from start to finish.
Four Minds, One Shared Mission: We run our own individual businesses, but we share the same core values, comfort measures, and respect for your birth choices. We talk behind the scenes so whoever is in the room knows your birth plan inside and out.

Joleen Cullens - Healing Tree Wellness

Hi I’m Joleen!

As a birth doula with a twist (and a shimmy!), I bring a unique blend of calm, intuitive care and hands-on expertise to your journey. I’m not just your birth and postpartum doula—I’m also a licensed massage therapist (yes, that means actual professional massages during labor!), birth photographer, yoga and belly dance instructor, and your go-to guide for infant massage, cranial sacral therapy, and belly binding. I recognize birth not only as a physical experience, but as a deeply emotional and spiritual rite of passage, and I hold space for that transformation with reverence and respect. Whether it’s easing sore muscles, capturing your birth story through my lens, or helping your little one with latching and digestion, my approach is grounded, nurturing, and ever-evolving. Clients often say I bring a calming and intuitive energy into the birth space. I am a learner with a deep commitment to continuing education (my son says I’m a restless soul—I call it a love for growth and discovery lol). With me, you’re not just hiring a doula—you’re gaining a whole toolkit of embodied support designed to empower, educate, and uplift. Honoring birth as a sacred transformation. Nature is my sanctuary and creative exploration is how I stay connected to myself and the world.

EmilieAn Kemper — My Sister’s Doula

Hi, I’m EmilieAn!

I’ve spent 16 years supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I got my start supporting military families through deployments, distance, and unpredictable schedules, which taught me early that you can’t predict every possibility—but you can prepare people for whatever comes.

As a birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator, I’m big on doing the work before Laboring Day. I help couples talk honestly about fears and expectations, understand their options, practice coping techniques and comfort measures, and figure out how they work together under stress.

And we don’t stop preparing at birth. A lot happens postpartum. We work on and talk about latching, healing, those first days with your baby, and what support actually looks like once you’re home. Partners get some pretty clear SOPs too—because “just tell me what you need” is not a postpartum plan.

During birth, I bring a calm, experienced presence, straightforward guidance, physical and emotional support, and a knack for reading the room. I know when to offer another comfort measure or coping tool, when your partner needs a little direction, and when the two of you are doing beautifully and I need to get out of the way.

You meet this baby for the first time once. I want to honor that and hold space for you. My job is to prepare you well enough to be present, then support you in a way that lets you actually experience it together.

When I’m not doula-ing, there’s a very good chance I’m cross-stitching somewhere people don’t normally craft. I love to laugh, love pregnancy, and I’m considerably funnier than any professional bio has any business being. I have yet to figure out how to support a family through something this intimate without falling a little bit in love with them along the way. Occupational hazard, apparently.

My goal isn’t to help you create a birth that perfectly follows the plan. It’s to help you feel prepared for the birth you actually have.

Mindy Bigler - Mother Nurture Baby

Hi, I’m Mindy!

Empowering parents through real, actionable education and compassionate care has been at the heart of my work for over two decades. My journey began in massage school back in 1997, leading to a lifelong calling as a Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator (certified in The Bradley Method® and Birth Boot Camp), Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner, and Postpartum Belly Binder. I combine evidence-based birth preparation with 25+ years as a prenatal massage therapist—giving you both practical tools and actual professional bodywork so you feel completely supported inside and out.

I deeply believe that birth is intuitive, that moms inherently know what is best for themselves, and that every birthing person deserves to be heard and respected in their birth space. When I’m not teaching or supporting growing families, I’m raising my four amazing kids (three boys and one girl), playing online PC games with my husband, singing along to good music, or geeking out at FanX!
